Blip? Huh? What was that?

We are in the midst of a slow, meticulous, upgrade of our main fiber links with KPUD to increase our total bandwidth by a factor of ten!. Tonight we had a 90 second outage at 10:15PM as we moved our fibers to go directly into a even higher performance router than the new one we deployed in early August. We will have a few minute blip later this month as we finish the cut-over and swap out the lasers at both ends of our links. We schedule these events to occur at 10PM to avoid as many folks as practical. There is no such thing as a good time to take down residential/small business other than 2AM to 4AM. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be counting on critical thinking at 2AM!
