Short outages?

We are getting reports of “micro outages” in Alpenglow/Bridletree community. I have compiled all these notes, along with technical data from our core router and forward this to KPUD’s engineers. Today 2/21/2021 as of 2:48PM I can assure every customer in Bridletree/Alpenglow that Net253 has had zero seconds of downtime on the Net253 network.

My personal home is now a Net253 gig customer. I have 3 internet canaries (wife and 2 sons). If there is any sort of degradation I would hear complaints. This was pretty common when we were on Centurylink and Comcast. Since switching to Net253 the only complaints have been when I was dorking with the home networking equipment.

I will update this blog when I learn anything from KPUD.

edit 2/23 - KPUD indicates they are seeing lots of reboots of the gray boxes in the community. Curiously, the gray boxes seem more sensitive to brownouts than home routers. One customer sent me a picture and the timestamp on the photo showed exactly when the internet “was out”. KPUD correlated that to a reboot of their gray box.
