Lost a customer due to providing great service.
We had a customer move into a new home, they were very anxious to have their internet up and working the day they moved in. They signed up for a year contract. New construction. KPUD did their part and worked very long to get not only the home connected but additional splicing in the neighborhood complete. New street, new construction, lots to do, surprises come up.
We got over there as fast as we could, 50 minute drive from Bainbridge, as they requested. They weren’t home. Waited 40 minutes for them to come home. We got them up and rocking gig service within an hour. Drove home feeling good.
2.5 weeks later, on 2/1 a short note was sent. “Terminate our service effective today”. Reason? They want to go with a lower cost provider.
If you are going to sign up with us, we treat this as a partnership. We want to serve you for years, maybe decades. Our cost to setup a home is well over $300, of which we only charge $100, which doesn’t even cover gas + supplies in most cases. Our labor force is 100% bachelors or masters degreed electrical engineers.
