Why we are worth it

We charge $100 for install. Really I should charge more. We bring thousands of dollars of tools to perform a high quality installation that will last for decades. On older homes, we go the extra mile to figure a way to get your primary router in a good location so you can actually enjoy the service you are paying for.

Even on new construction, we run across issues with electricians who mess up the wiring to new wall ports in the home. In this case, the electricians wired a “network” for a home compound. The internet and primary router are in a detached garage. There needs to be a network to the main home and an ADU. When we ran a simple network cable tester it would pass from both locations back to the garage. This is impossible. We asked the homeowner if there was any other place where the electricians had done wiring. We were told no. We broke out the big gun, a Fluke cable certifier which has built in Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR). I hooked it up; it immediately failed, cable was not capable of 10mbit (we need 1000mbit). Used the diagnostics menu, the instrument located a fault 50 feet away. I hunted around the structure and found the following tucked in the water filter closet. This is the “network” the electricians installed for the homeowner.
